[So after that, uh... whatever that was in the food pantry, Akira had gone back to sneaking around. There was actually no further information he could find anywhere around here. There are no expiration dates on the food packages, most of the books are irrelevant and/or from the 1970s, the decor is frankly ugly but hard to pin down. There's cameras everywhere to be sure, but aside from staring into them and flipping off the lens, Akira doesn't have the know-how to find out where they're sending the data to.]
[So, that night, he finds himself wandering into the sleeping quarters. He has no plans to actually sleep here because he's not a fucking idiot, but he does want to collect some supplies to make a little nest for himself on the carpeted floor of the library. And he's also, admittedly, looking around to see if there's a pillow fort. Very quietly, he says:]
[Yuusuke had ducked down behind one of the beds when he heard someone enter - not really a great hiding place at all, but enough to serve his purposes if it came to a fight. When he hears who it is, he looks up over the bed, planting his elbows on the mattress and waving hello.
Sup. He hasn't quite gotten around to building a fort yet, but the mattress is slightly askew - seems he was in the process of nabbing it when Akira showed up.]
[Oh, good, he is here! Akira gives a half-wave back, though he doesn't exactly smile, true to form. The timing was a shot in the dark so Akira honestly could have walked in to an empty room. He approaches the bed Yuusuke is sitting behind, observing its position.]
Some help would be nice. Besides, what's the fun of a pillow fort if you're the only one making it?
[Or something like that, anyway. He and Sasuke didn't exactly have the cozy kind of home life that led to such things. He lifts the mattress again, sliding it off of the frame along with its pillow.]
[It's okay, neither did he. But he's done this once or twice with Futaba in the past, so it's not like pillow forts are a foreign concept. Akira takes the other end of the mattress, helping Yuusuke settle it onto the floor, and then looks around.]
We could probably use the frame of the bed to get the sheets up a bit. The nearest chairs are... the cafeteria, I think, but dragging them here might be a bit too much.
[Akira goes to some of the bunks closer to the door and pulls the crappy sheets and blankets off of them, so it looks like people just walked in for the supplies and left. The blankets, sheets, and pillows are soon in a little pile on the floor mattress.]
I'll take care of the sheets, you start making the nest part? Sound good?
[He doubts he'll need the information later, but maybe he'll find a nugget in it. And if not, it'll make for a good, easy cover once they have the fort set up.]
[Hoo boy. How does one just describe Futaba Sakura...]
Well, she really enjoyed things like this. Even if it was a bit childish, we would hunker down in pillow forts and play video games and eat snacks all night.
...It was pretty fun.
[He sounds... wistful, but in the way one does when they're trying really hard not to sound wistful.]

Sagami? You here?

[A bit too suspicious, more like.]

[So they're agreed there.]
Tying the sheets to the frames shouldn't be too hard. If we grab three of them, we can tie two between the bunks and lay the third sheet over it.

[And he'll get to it, piling in the pillows.]
When I suggested it, I didn't think you were actually a pillow fort kind of guy.
no subject
I used to make these sometimes, with... well, a friend of mine.
[He begins using his incredible talent of being tall to set up the sheets.]

Girlfriend?
[If it's a girl, and a friend, and someone he stayed with all night...]
no subject
No! God, no. Nothing like that!
[It legitimately didn't even cross his mind that it could be interpreted that way. But thinking back — oh yeah. Shit.]
If anything, she's more like my sister...
no subject
Ahh, so that's how it is.
[How do you always sound so judgey, Yuusuke. How do you do this.]
Well, being a big brother's tough work! At least if it's a friend, you already get along.
no subject
We do. We get along very well.
[He sounds faintly defensive, all of a sudden, as he hangs the remaining sheets off of the ones he's already secured.]
